Views on BSE sensex as on date

As on January 8, 2009 the BSE sensex had closed at 9071 (it was at lower level-8984 on January 21, 2009-1221 hrs.), a far cry from 20,873 on January 8, 2008.

 

Now even if it took 5 years (Jan. 2014) for sensex to reach it's previous high, the return would be 18.14% (CAGR).

- If it took 7 years (Jan. 2016) , it would be 12.64%

- And even if Sensex reached that figure in January 2019 (after 10 years), the returns would be 8.69%

- The surprise is that even for a 15 year time frame (Jan. 2024) the sensex generates a CAGR of 5.71%

Not bad at all when you consider that the 10 year Government Security yields 5.65% (as on Jan. 21, 2009-1221 hrs) and that the  long term capital gains tax on equities is NIL.

It's January 2018 an Sensex has already crossed the milestone of 35000 points which is the highest ever.Acording to the Share Market Tips providers,the share market will continue to grow and new investors has a great chance of enlarging their capital.
